Truthwitch

Truthwitch is the first novel in the Witchland Series. It is set in a world where people are born with different types of magic, 'witchery.'

I went into this book with extremely high expectations. And it did not disappoint me. Yes, it was confusing at times, but it was thrilling. It was fun going back into the genre I love so much after binging on a lot of contemporary. This month I picked up quite a few Fantasy novels, but I have to say, this was my favorite.

So the witches in this world are nothing like the ones we're used to, they're not like the Harry Potter witches or witches from some TV show. They're unique and fantastic. They don't use spells, but their magic is so strong.

I loved the chemistry between our two lead female characters. Their strong friendship really got to me. Their connection was so real. I could actually imagine it, it wasn't one of those exaggerated book friendships, and it made me long for a friend that close.

All the characters were kind of amazing. The guy I assumed was going to be a villain might not be one.
Anyways, I'll discuss my views with my opinions and spoilers now.

“Where’s your hair?” she shouted. “And what happened to your arm?”
“Cut my hair and got shot with an arrow!”
“Gods below, Iseult! A few hours away and your whole life tumbles through the hell-gates!”
“I might say the same to you,” Iseult shouted back—though it was getting hard to scream and ride. “Four opponents on your tail and a ruined dress!”

For some reason, I really liked the lines mentioned above. It kind of made me feel as if they were real friends. I mean, don't we all discuss the most insignificant things with our best friends even when our lives are thoroughly messed up?

A few things really confused me. Some utterly trivial. Like is their world like medieval earth? I mean in some places it seemed like Safi didn't have any choice, especially about her betrothal. I mean she didn't have any choice. That's just wrong. Also, when they were attacked Merik called her the Emperor's property! That's just disgusting. I don't think I disliked him more at any other point, even when he shackled her. Which was also wrong. I mean if he plans on ever being with her, they better be equals.

I'm crazy passionate about equality.
But honestly, I have a feeling that the only reason she had no choice was the fact he was the emperor.

Also, I think Polly, i.e., Prince Leopold was trying to help Safi not take her back to his old uncle. That's just disgusting. She's not old enough!

Anyways.

Merik and Safi were so much fun to read about. Their fights were amazing. I liked when they actually had a full on fight on the deck. That was epic!

Now. Iseult. She was like the quiet strong warrior protector who was always by Safi's side.

I loved how they were around each other. Safi and Iseult were like the better half of the other. Threadbrothers/sister reminded me of Parabatai from Shadowhunter Chronicles.

I really liked Iseult's magic, it was impressive, but I thought the Elemental magic was better than being able, to tell the truth. I mean, what's so kick ass about. I'm hoping it develops over time.

Now. Our resident bloodwitch. Initially, I didn't like Aeduan. He was a bloodwitch who we assume are all bad.

But I see the hero potential and romantic potential with Iseult. They'd be good together.

What happened to Kullen was so awful, I mean, he shouldn't have died in book one. I was kind of expecting, but he could be such a huge part of it. Though Ryber leaving made me suspicious. Maybe, just maybe it's not the end of Kullen. It's fantasy, after all, anything can happen. Besides, his death to Merik is like Iseult's death to Safi. I hope Merik doesn't suffer like that.

In the end, when Merik got the letter, I expected a bigger reaction. I hope he joins Iseult and they help Safi together. I don't want them to save her, I want her to be strong, but they should totally team up. This time without the contract. Also. I want Aeduan to join them.

Now that he knows that they're Cahr Awen, he has to protect them right. Let his father go to hell!

I think the Empress Vaness is going to influence on the story.

The ending left me hanging. I'm not usually used to reading series one by one, often binge read them when the last book comes out, and this left me high and dry.

There are supposed to be four books, and I see the potential in the characters and am highly anticipating the next book.

Oh, and what the hell is Cleaving? I did not understand Cleaving at all! Someone who's read this, please explain it to me! I don't get it. I think it has something to do with threads cutting and stuff. Do they become like Zombies or do they die? I mean they don't die 'cause they attack people. But how does it happen? I get that the puppeteer can cleave people but what is it exactly. It kind of sounded like someone was shedding a layer of skin!

Oh and Tumbling? Really? Who calls it Tumbling? I kinda found that funny. I know I have an awful sense of humor.

Anyways, I also made notes. Check them out! ;)

“If you wanted to, Safiya, you could bend and shape the world.”
“Sometimes justice was all about the small victories.”

The Witchlands

That is the official map of The Witchlands.

So I watched an interview by the fantastic author of Truthwitch, Susan Dennard describing the World of Truthwitch.

She said it was loosely based on Imperial Europe. Three main empires were kind of based on Venetian Empire, Austro-Hungarian Empire and Ottoman Empire and a tiny little republic in Croatia called Dubrovnik managed to stay independent throughout war and all the other independent places that didn't get swallowed up by the three empires.

All the information is directly from Truthwitch website to make it easier to understand the world. It was a little complicated for me.

Empire of Cartorra

It is the largest of the three empires, Cartorra initially expanded through royal marriages and alliances. Only in recent centuries did the empire turn to warlike tactics. Magic is highly regulated, and certain witcheries are forbidden entirely. The Hell-Bard Brigad is an elite fighting force able to detect all kinds of magic and enforce these regulations and hunt any witches known as heretics, who try to hide.
Leader: Emperor Henrik
Side Note: It is the Empire from where Safiya.

Empire of Marstok

It is the middle-man between lands of Fareast and the main continent of Witchlands. The empire originally grew through trade, but over time, the female dominated society developed vast, mighty armies of Firewitches. Despite the dark history involving slavery, this empire is now the most stable and welcoming.
Leader: Empress Vaness

Dalmotti Empire

It is a coastal empire that was built upon control of sea trade. They have an incredibly powerful naval fleet. Unlike Marstok or Cartorra, they are the republic with elected Guildmasters. The leader is the Doge.
Leader: Doge

Nubrevna

It is a small coastal nation which managed to maintain its independence in the face of the three empires because of its exceptionally skilled Navy and because of its capital city which is protected by powerful magical barriers and only accessible via water-bridges.
Leader: King Serafin
Side Note: Vivia and Merik are the heirs to the throne.

Arithuania

It is a large, wild country between Marstok and Cartorra. It used to be a great republic, but it's elected leaders were too free and too willing to bend the will of people. A century ago, it began to descend into anarchy. It is now filled with outlawed elemental witches, great Raiders, persecuted Nomatsi, and anyone else who doesn't want to feel the control of the government.
Side Note: Aeduan's father is the Raider king of Arithuania.

Portolla

It is an arid country with a thriving coastline, Portolla subsists almost entirely off fishing. Like, Svoden, they've allied with Cartorra to maintain their independence and want to claim Krit, a nation nearby.

Krit

It is similar to it's larger neighbor Portolla but has fought to preserve its autonomy and its customs throughout the centuries of war.

Balma

It is a marshy country northeast of the Cartorran Empire that has managed to remain independent through sheer brutality and desperation.

Lusque

It is a small, rocky country that has maintained independence via guerilla-style warfare. Its population is small but fierce.

Svoden

It is a harsh Northland with huge tidal ranges that have led to a strong navy. Svoden allied with Cartorra for almost a century to maintain it's independence.

Illrya

It is a dry, coastal country that has maintained independence by sheer undesirableness. Like Krit, many of its customs hail from the Southlands.

Witchery

Some people are born with a “witchery,” a magical skill that sets them apart from others. There are six types elemental witches.

Known Witchery:
Windwitch: Merik Nihar, Kullen
Truthwitch (Aether): Safiya Fon Hasstrel
Threadwitch (Aether)Iseult Det Midenzi, other people from her tribe
Bloodwitch (Void): Aeduan
Tidewitch
Ironwitch: Vaness
Glamourwitch

And then there were the healers.

Waterwitch Healer: Specialize in fluids of the body: Evrane Nihar
Firewitch Healer: Specialize in muscles.
Earthwitch Healer: Specialize in skin and bones.

Even though it's not mentioned in the book, I think there might be healers of the other three elemental witcheries. If I had to make a guess, airwitch healers deal with respiratory issues, and I have no idea about aether and void.

These Broken Stars

Among all the books in the Starbound trilogy I loved most of the first book, I loved it. Until that thing with Lilac. It just seemed a little weird to me. It wasn't explained and in the next book, we jumped to someone else never really understanding exactly what happened to Lilac.

I actually enjoyed the book up until that little tiny INSIGNIFICANT incident with Lilac dying. And how quickly Tarver decided it was okay to love the copy of the girl he loved. WTH.

To me, it's like loving their copy robot or something. I know she's like the incarnation of Lilac but somehow to me, she seems like Lilac 2.0. Not okay. They could have maybe resurrected original Lilac. I mean they went through such a stretch for Lilac 2.0 they could've just said something like the energy merged her life force with her body. That's annoying and I hated it!

Anyways, these books are really good, captivating. The characters are charismatic. It took me a while to warm up to Lilac, she was kind of a coward when it came to her father but eventually, I liked her. But Tarver was amazing!

Anyways... on to the spoilery discussions!

Let's all take a second to admire the wonderful cover without the obstructing words. It's beautiful. The cover was the sole reason the book actually caught my eye at first. It was just so bright and sitting on my recommendations shelf on Goodreads. It did take me a good six months to pick it up, though.

Now. Can someone please explain to me what the hell happened to Lilac. I keep imagining her being made up of stars. Like legit out of stars or dust or something like that.

In the third book, there was a moment after she came back to herself I thought maybe she was actually human again. That wasn't explained. Gideon kind of refers to that doesn't he? Or maybe I'm just desperate.

Back to this book.

So the book begins in space. They're on a spaceship called Icarus and we meet our leads there. Tarver is a decorated Military man that doesn't belong among the elite and Lilac is the intergalactic sweetheart.

So in this world, humans seemed to have colonized on multiple plants and seem to travel faster than light.

The attraction between our leads is instant and we see their connection immediately until Lilac turns into a jerk in order to protect Tarver from her overprotective father.

The spaceship crashes into a planet and they are the sole survivor.

I really love their dynamic while they're on this planet alone. We see them act like they hate the other person, try to hate each other but work together and face the possibility of never going home again.

I really liked how they slowly opened up to each other.

Those voices she heard. Man, that was something. And since I was audiobooking it, things were extremely intense.

We see Lilac be stubborn and try not to depend on Tarver, try to survive on her own and see them become closer.

I hated her father the moment we learned about Simon. What kind of man does that to another person? To his own daughter? To someone, he claims to love?

That man was despicable and my hatred for him only magnified throughout the series.

I liked the whispers in this book way more than the ones in the other books. These ones were nice. They actually tried to help Tarver and Lilac.

And then she died. Here's what it seemed like to me, it seemed like Tarver was in love with a robot with emotions and memories of the woman he loved.

I don't mind resurrection, I love resurrection. But this wasn't that. This was creating a whole new person. I kind of hoped that when they passed through the rift, her body merged with the resurrected part of her and they never found out because they never checked, but that's far fetched. I mean she seemed so human later, and even more human at the end of book three. Unless we get some explanation, I'm going to assume that the Whispers made her completely human because they had so much power in the hyperspace.

But I did like this book and the longer I ponder about it, the more I like it.

I like the world it's set in. I like the multiple planet systems. That's actually where I see humans in the next five hundred years. On another planet.

I would suggest that you read the entire series to get some kind of closure when you lose yourself in this amazing book.

Confess

Confession: This is the first novel by Colleen Hoover I've ever read. I wasn't expecting blown away as I was.
Confession: This book inspired me to make my own confession box which I plan on using as inspiration when I'm writing.

The whole concept of this book was mind blowing. Using people's confessions to paint. Reading people's confessions in this book was my favorite part of the book. I absolutely loved OMG! Owen was fantastic. He had this darker side and yet he was so amazing.

I absolutely hated Lydia. She was like those typical TV monsters-in-laws, the mean ones that think their sons can do no wrong. And don't even get me started on Trey.

I'll be discussing things with spoilers from here on so be prepared.

When I started reading Confess, I remember thinking 'This can't be it.' The book begins with Auburn and Adam, and he's dying. They couldn't have the main character die. I hadn't read reviews, I didn't even read the synopsis. I just jumped in not knowing anyone's name. When we moved to the present time, I was kind of relieved.

I was really curious as to what happened to her to make her so upset, and the whole lawyer angle scared me. I actually thought she ended up in some serious shit!

That scene outside the studio where she read all the confessions... I had the urge to drop a few confessions myself. The whole concept of painting based on the confessions was fantastic.
I really want to go to a studio with paintings like that.

Now. On to AJ. I did not see that coming. I had no idea that was going to happen. I was kind of excited, I was really hoping to see a lot of him. And in that instant knowing Lydia never let her see her son, I hated Lydia. What kind of a grandmother would separate her grandson from his own mother? AJ would've resented her when he grew up. She was such an awful person. She never gave Auburn a chance.

I really wish we saw more of AJ. He was such a huge part of the story, but he was barely present in person. I love reading about kids in books, be it younger siblings or kids, they're just so cute!
And let's just not get to Trey. That manipulative jerk (not the word in my head!) I really hate people like that. He was absolutely using her desperation to be a bigger part of her life to date her. I really love how Owen reacts about AJ. He was so supportive and everything.

I can't believe Trey was such a jerk. He knew it wasn't Owen's drugs and yet made such a huge deal of it. Owen was so stubborn, hoping that seeing him go to jail would set his dad right.

I really love how kind Owen is. I really like the painting he made of her, now that was incredible. I really like that he arranged all her confessions around it.

Then came the mess of an ending. I was kind of hoping Auburn recorded Trey admitting to what he did. And when she did I was so happy. I'm usually good at seeing things coming, and when I missed AJ and how Adam, Owen, and Trey knew each other it kind of threw me off. I was so proud that I guessed something. I loved that Owen's father finally came to his senses and did something right, I'm proud of him. Also, Lydia claims to love her grandson so much that she won't let his schedule get messed up but would give him up in a heartbeat to save her son because he committed a crime! Falsifying evidence is a crime and so is attacking someone.

That takes me to the scene where he attacks Auburn. That jerk! And he had the audacity for calling her out for loving his dead brother! Owen, a guy who has no reason to care about Adam, was okay with a part of Auburn still loving Adam and Trey wasn't.

I hate Trey with a burning passion. I wish she goes back on her word and shows the police the recording. A man like that deserves to be behind bars. I know it's kind of wrong, she promised but who know when Trey could snap and hurt another person, only this time there wouldn't be a gun wielding roommate to save the other person.

And the best part is, Auburn got sole custody. Am I evil if I want her to make Lydia feel what she felt, just for a while? Just once, let her feel the pain of not seeing AJ. Anyways. I loved this book and plan on reading more of Colleen's work!

Resurgent: A Wattpad Book

I understand why Roth killed Tris but I wish she didn't. So, as a fan of fan-fictions, I found solace in many fics with alternate endings or a fourth book or something along those lines.

But I wanted a personalized fourth book. Which I will write as a fanfic. The stories still belong to Veronica. It's just to get over the ending. It's a fanfic. I have no rights over the characters, just the plot.

The covers above are made by me, with hep of images from google of course. The US one I took help from other covers but I edited both of them. So anyways, I tried to make them resemble the originals as much as I could.

So I will post my version of RESURGENT here when I'm done, it might take a while 'cause I haven't started writing it yet.
Just to you know I have no idea what will happen either. I'll go with the flow and write. I just wanted to share it with you guys.

So yeah. You don't have to read it, but if you do, I might start uploading chapters from next month, or before if I can!

PS. Sorry about the covers. They the back, front and spine aren't well aligned.
PSS. That is the blurb from the back of the cover.

Hope you guys like it!

What is the price of one's life?

But is it just Tris who comes back or are there more people lurking right around the corner. A tiny slip can end up causing a tornado. Is it really that easy to bring back a lost soul? What are the repercussions? Will Tris pay for her second chance at life, at love, at happiness?

How will she react to the world she saved? How will she fit in? Can she cope with life after being dead for over two years or will she break?

Four: A Divergent Collection

“Maybe you were cut out for Candor, Four, because you’re a terrible liar.” ~BEATRICE

It was nice to look through the eyes of Four. It was nice to see him as a younger version of him. To see his time with Marcus.

His dilemma about choosing his faction was interesting, his reason for choosing dauntless was, something!

I loved his and Shauna's friendship. And Zeke was awesome. Eric was such a.... I hated Eric!
I was so sad about Tori's brother, Amar. Amar was a good person. I hate Jeanine! She was here too! Uh. I hate it!

So, Amar names him Four! Who knew Four was such a bad fighter in the beginning, not like he didn't have skills, I meant that he was too nice. But, well, that's why we love him right? That even though he was such a strong person but he is also such a nice person.

We see him try to fit in the Dauntless society, which is cool. Then there was his interaction with the other Dauntless.
Also Evelyn! I always wanted to know how he took the fact that she was still alive!

And finally, we also got to see some Fourtis. The final book started at the visiting day, so we got to see Natalie too!

We saw him discover the Erudite's plans and him planning to save Abnegation.
My favorite was The Traitor.

I loved looking into Tobias's head and seeing the world as he did.

Top 15 Favorite Books 2015

TOP 15 of O'15

So, this is a list of my top 15 books of 2015.

15. Iron King by Julie Kagawa

I came across this book on Goodreads and I was like, what the hell, let's give it a shot. I totally loved this book. This series could've been on my top list if not for the spin-off series. I don't like the spin-off. The excitement I felt with Meghan and Ash I couldn't with Ethan. I kept imagining the four year old kid. I was put off by what happened in the spin-off, so my love for this book didn't prevail.

14. Dearest Clementine by Lex Martin

My first New Adult novel. I had been so used to the YA world that I refused to read anything else, but this book was fantastic. I fell in love. I loved the characters, the story line. I loved the entire theme of the story. For me, it was the Anna and the French Kiss of the NA world.

13. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Even though I'm crazy about TLC Cinder's quite low on the list. It's #13 because my love for Cinder wasn't instant. It took me a while to get me to get used to the cyborg thing. But about 25% into the book I was a goner. The theme was fantastic. Everything was so interesting and ultimately dragged me into their world.

12. Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead

It was the first book series I read in 2015, and I loved it. It brought me back to reading. I liked Rose and Dimitri's part the best, the ending wasn't so bad, and I was overall happy with it.

11. The Ruby Circle by Richelle Mead

I thought it was a perfect spin off to Vampire Academy, and I had a fun time reading this series too, especially the last book even though it could've been so much better. I had many unanswered questions about Dimitri and Rose. I mean how can you drop a bomb like that and not tell us more!

10. Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier

Wow! It was such an amazing book. It's the first book that was translated from another language. It was a perfect translation. That was incredible. I loved the concept of the story line. The whole time traveler aspect of it was incredible. I loved Gwen but thought Gideon was a total jerk!

9. Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling

I totally loved the entire Harry Potter series, but this book definitely was my favorite. Honestly, it was because of Sirius and Lupin. They are siriusly amazing!

8. Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan

I liked Percy Jackson and HOO and Kane Chronicles but I loved this series. It was probably because I totally fell in love Rick Riordan's writing before hand so it was easier to get into the book. I liked the Norse mythology aspect of it, I mean, I'm a huge Marvel fan, thus Thor! Anyways, I'm kind of anticipating Annabeth playing a bigger part in it.

7. Cress by Marissa Meyer

Captain Thorne! Oh, you perfect person. You're unbelievable. Cress is just so naive and I love it. I love Cinder in this book, she was so much better. This book got me so riled up about Winter which is amazing.

6. Emerald Green by Kerstin Gier

I fell in love with Gideon in this book, I was so frustrated with him in beginning of the book, but he got better. The Count was awful. This was my favorite in the series even though it felt like the last few pages had been ripped out

5. Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
This was my favorite in the series even though I liked Anna and the French Kiss better. I loved their story and everything. I loved their story. I loved how they got together at the beginning itself, and I loved it. I loved that Anna, Etienne, Cricket, and Lola were present.

4. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Well, this was a great book, it's amazingness was lessened due to the fact I read Anna Lola and Isla right after this. It was actually the first contemporary book I ever read. I liked it. As a fanfiction writer myself, I could totally connect with Cath. I could see myself in her, the same awkwardness and everything. I could totally see myself as her.

3. Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella

I had so much fun reading a contemporary novel after so many fantasy ones. It was incredible. Finding Audrey was such a quick read and so entrancing. I loved the theme of the story. I loved reading about how she overcame her disability. It was so cool. Their family was amazing and so easy to relate to.
And I loved the romance aspect of it. I'm a sucker for romance! Anyways, pick this up if you want a quick fun read.

2. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

Anna and Etienne are my favorite contemporary book couple. I audiobooked this series, so it felt like I was watching a movie. Oh, what a beautiful movie it was. I loved every second of it. It was such a perfect story. I liked their dynamic and everything. Ellie though, I hated her. She shouldn't exist. Well, I guess I'm biased. I love Anna!

FINALLY
The Best Book of the Year (According to Me)...
1. Winter by Marissa Meyer

'Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the best among them all?'
WINTER IS THE BEST AMONG THEM ALL.
Oh my god! What a perfect ending. It was unbelievable. It had me on the edge of my chair every second of the read and it was so hard to put down. I loved Winter. The dynamic between the characters was perfect. It made me feel things I'd never felt before, it was so intense.
When I was reading that scene with Levana and Kai, I was literally in pain. To me, it was as real as any book can be!

Allegiant

So, I have mixed feelings about the ending to this book. I had a hard time after finishing this book. I had to wait for Allegiant because I bought a box set of the first two books so I just had to order the third. And even then I couldn't wait. I got the e-book! Yeah, I know. I'm an idiot.

The ending got me!

I know why Veronica Roth did it, but it broke my heart. Really did.

"Life damages us, everyone. We can't escape the damage. But now, I'm learning this: we can be mended. We can mend each other." ~ TOBIAS

Allegiant. Oh my god. I wanted to cry at the end. I really did. But never have I ever shed a tear over a book even if it broke my heart and stomped all over it's shattered pieces.

So this book was written in both Tris and Four's point of views and we finally got some insight into his mind.

So anyways. Now that they are off to the real world, what's left of our world? We finally find out what happened to our world, how the factions were created.

We meet Tris's moms kind of ex-boyfriend, David.

At first, I kind of liked him at first. I liked how they were getting some kind of answers. What was divergent, and stuff like that.

What ticked me off was how they classed people as Genetically Damaged. Poor Tobias felt so insecure about that.

Then there was Nina! I hate her, so much!

So, David was planning on erasing everyone's memories and reinstate the faction system. That was awful!

We know that Caleb betrayed Tris and stuff and it broke my heart. I personally love reading about siblings, I mean they are meant to protect each other from the world.

Anyways, at least he was trying to make up for it.
Now. I know why Tris took his place in the chamber, I know he had no chance to survive. She did, even if it were slim.

So she did what she thought was right. She didn't want to be the reason for her last living family to die.

Poor Uriah! I hate what happened to him. He was such a great character. I loved his personality. I really wish he lived.

And finally. I wish Tobias was with her in the end.
This is the biggest spoiler in the book. Tris Dies!

That made me want to cry. But I can't!
Tris survived the stupid death serum but died when she was shot! Why oh why? I wish she at least got to see Tobias before she died, but she was dead by the time he came back. Poor Tobias.

I was horrified when I thought he was going to erase his memories of her!
Anyways. This book was amazing. I understand why Roth killed Tris but I wish she didn't. I love the series but the ending. The last few pages were so hard to turn!

Isla and the Happily Ever After

I love Isla and the Happily Ever After so much. I loved that we saw Isla and Josh's interact together for the first half of the book. In the other books, the main characters do not get together until the very end so it was a great change. Now on to the spoilers.

"'The best part.' And he pulls me back into his arms. 'The happily ever after.'" ~ ISLA

Isla and the Happily Ever After is such a cute story about a girl, Isla, who gets the guys she has pined after since their first year at SOAP.

It was kismet, how they ran into each other at the cafe Kismet.

Due to Isla's slightly sedated stage, she was more open towards Josh due to her visit to the destiny.
It was nice to see Josh again and to be back at SOAP.

I loved Kurt's character and I initially thought that he would be the jealous best friend who falls in love with her but thankfully that didn't happen.
I was ecstatic when they went back to France and they were finally together. Unlike the other books, they were together in the beginning.

Their relationship was so cute. Josh was definitely a better person when he was with her. I loved seeing his artistic side. He was definitely a great artist, yes I know I haven't seen any of it but I have read Isla's views on it.

I loved the scene in Barcelona. I loved reading about their time in Barcelona up until the point when she got the phone call. That broke my heart. It was horrifying when Josh got kicked out of SOAP separating him and Isla.

It was a heart-wrenching experience reading about their time apart. How he couldn't contact her. How she couldn't go to him. How they couldn't be together.
And when they were finally going to see each other again he had to go to the White House. I know it's an honor but come on!!!

And when he sends her the comic! Why would he give her a picture like that of Rashmi? I know he wanted her to know everything.

But then when she broke up with him because she was afraid that he didn't truly love her and would get tired of her. But come on, he was definitely truly in love with her.

And the chapters after that were painfully hard to read. It was nice to see Isla and Hatty make up.
I just wish her and Kurt were still as close as they used to be, but they definitely drifted off.
The part where she met up with Josh, Anna, Etienne, Lola, Cricket, and Meredith was amazing.

Oh! And the scene where Etienne proposed to Anna was beautiful. The fact he did that at Point Zero was amazing.

And finally, the part where he gave her the completed comic.

And even though the book was amazing, awesome, perfect, and so much more I do wish there were more chapters.
